This is going to be a large download (about 70 MB) so make sure that you have enough space on the hard drive. The latest version of R is 3.5.1 as of 10-August-2018. R is available for download for Linux, MacOS, and Windows from this link. Otherwise, just follow the instructions below like everyone else! If you are a Mac user and you are comfortable with command line tools using Terminal, I suggest taking more systematic route for preparing your MacOS for R installation using Homebrew.
